The hospitality here has been the best I have ever been! I have been from Florida to Texas and I dare say it! Bar staff Gwen and Elaine we're amazing! Kitchen staff Sean made me feel at home! Basil approved my pictures and the rest is yet to present itself! Kudos to you all! Keep up the good work! 3/5 3 weeks ago I was there overnight and it was okay but not spectacular especially at $260/night. I was here several years ago and it was much better then. I think the housekeeping has gone down Hill as well as the maintenance. Some of the employees were friendly, but not most. I had just stayed a week at a great Hampton Inn in Maryland and at the Hilton Atlanta in March and expected more. Next time I will stay at the Hampton Inn nearby. 2/5 a month ago Made a stop here on the way to Montreal. I booked this hotel without looking at the reviews, which was my mistake. As others have noted, the rooms have a strong musty smell, which made the entire stay uncomfortable. It’s an old, unkept building. I was told at check-in that I had a $30 food and beverage credit ($15 each person), but was told at checkout that I didn’t since they recently reopened the executive lounge. This didn’t make any sense because never in my experience has it been one or the other, especially for Diamond members. I didn’t bother fighting it because I didn’t actually end up purchasing anything to use the credit for. The only reason I didn’t leave 1 star is because the service in the executive lounge and during check-in was friendly. In my 7 years being a Gold and Diamond member, this was by far the most uncomfortable Hilton experience. Won’t be staying here again. I recommend staying at the renaissance around the corner. It’ll be worth the extra few bucks.

Walking distance to 2 dog parks is a huge bonus. However, disappointed with the $8 daily parking rate and $75 pet fee. Also wish the rooms had microwaves but had no trouble using the common one in breakfast area on first floor. 4/5 a month ago Great hot breakfast selection. The associates were pretty nice. I just didn’t like that the walls were so thin you could hear your neighbors entire conversations.

But most of all, it is just a walk away from the medical center. 4/5 2 months ago It was interesting returning after being away for two years. The front desk staff were welcoming and accommodating. It made me gag and it lingered even with all my windows down. I am disappointed they allow that item on the menu, knowing the sever repercussions the friends and family of the person eating it will have to suffer. Please, for the sake of all that is holy, get that ancient grain beet salad off the menu. The gastrointestinal distress it can cause will make you rethink spending time with the people you care about. Friends don’t let friends drink and drive is an important tenant to abide by, however, I would much rather he chugged straight ethanol and gotten behind the wheel of a Ram 3500 than having him eaten that and sat in my car for an extended period of time. He is my closest friend, but the smell that emitted from him after eating this salad triggered my flight or fight response. Overall the experience at the restaurant was fantastic, the results of leaving the restaurant left me heart broken, as I could rationalize kicking my best friend out of my car at 80 mph on the thruway. I swear to you, that salad is a weapon and should come with a warning, maybe even a necessary license to purchase. I will be returning, but if someone I’m with orders that salad, you will get violent, which is saying a lot as I am a peaceful man, but the only path I can take to prevent a tragedy is one of biblical proportions. Again, amazing burger, drinks, and staff, but the results of what happened to my friend after eating that salad made me question my belief in God. What kind of god would allow that? Fantastic beer and burger. 5/5 a month ago Pretty much all the drinks here come with a pizza…. a pizza! I kid you not. Granted the pizza is just a tortilla with sauce and cheese, but it really hits the spot. They give you a little ticket with your drink that you bring straight back to the kitchen to exchange for your pizza. It's a good spot all around. During the week they have events like trivia night, and on the weekend they have specials and from the advertisement in the bathroom it looks like they're about to open up a patio as the weather gets warm. There was dancing upstairs and we had so much fun. The main floor has better lighting a good atmosphere and the pizza was bountiful so we all were sharing our pizzas with new friends and having fun. You should start or end your night here anytime you go out in Albany. 5/5 2 months ago This place is awesome. I lost my jacket here a few weeks ago, and when I told the staff, everyone banded together to help me find it. Plus the building is beautiful, and the drinks are good. 10/10

Just great personal memories. I also love the food here. It is hard to get vegan anywhere. Bomber's has Vegan Nugget Burrito, Tofu Fries and a complete menu including burritos, tacos and bowls. Downstairs is counter service and upstairs is table service and a bar. Great food and great times… 4/5 3 weeks ago Ordered via DoorDash. Pretty good food. BBQ chicken burrito excellent. Cajun fries excellent. Asked for napkins and ketchup since I'm in a hotel, not at my house. Even asked for them in the notes. Shouldn't even have to ask for napkins. Nope. Poor service. So lost only 1 star. Still…I would recommend them. 5/5 6 months ago What a great hole in the wall that reminded me of 1980s NYC spots. The food was great and staff knowledgeable. I could clearly see why this place has been around for over 100 years. The food and drinks were absolutely devine. The soup and Delmonico steak I ordered was bursting with flavor and they can surely whip up a fantastic cocktail. My server Scout was so sweet, friendly and attentive. The overall appearance of the restaurant is very elegant. I highly recommend checking this place out. I will definitely stop by again the next time I am in the area. 1/5 2 weeks ago So I almost hate to do this ..I have literally eaten at almost every restaurant in Albany proper from the Clinton avenue exit to lark and up Madison and back… After several weeks of travel here I saved Jacks for a weekend with my wife .. This actually replaced a well known Mexican restaurant for the worst experience..it overtook last place Let me just say Albany has a great restaurant scene ..I reside in Chicago and have literally traveled the world From the pubs up here near Clinton to the stadium to lark street and down ..the restaurants here are simply incredible ..Italian Mexican eclectic seafood vegan ..I’m not vegan but the vegan scene is amazing ..put simply this city has some of the best restaurants around bar none .. Jacks sadly is not one ..the menu was extremely limited literally 5 entrees to choose from 2 or 3 were steaks ..we had sea bass and mussels and salads ..and a bottle of wine .. The place was empty ..the service was rushed ..the portions were puny which I don’t care if the food is excellent .it was mediocre ..the salads were uninspiring ..they tried to overcharge us for the wine, we brought it to their attention and they corrected but it was embarrassing but my wife insisted .. It was very expensive which I knew but ..at any price ..I’m sorry but don’t embarrass yourself by taking anyone here ..it’s disappointing ..we even tried for desert but wanted to have it at the bar which was “closed” Skip this at all costs ..don’t buy into it’s the oldest restaurant ..i only regret that I wasted a night with my wife on this ..so many better choices and we enjoyed 2 great nights and 2 great brunches before this utter disappointment Live and learn I guess 5/5 a month ago Jacks is the spot! Old world classy, from the servers suits to the rest of the restaurants decor, you can tell this has been an important spot for over a century. We found the service to be great and the food was wonderful. We had a bit of everything and it was all amazing. I’d highly recommend coming here for dinner if you’re in town, I certainly plan to be back again soon.

I was shocked that the admission was for free and that they only suggest giving a small donation ($5 for individual and $10 for a couple). This museum is absolutely fantastic. The place is clean, including the bathrooms and the displays are so well maintained. Some of the exhibits were closed as well as the gift shop, but I saw a good amount of displays while I was there. The one exhibit that stood out and really hit close to home since I am from Brooklyn, NY was the World Trade Center exhibit. I don't think anyone can look at those displays and not want to shed a tear about what had happened on 9/11/2001. They have some really interesting pieces, including the original flag that was on top of one of the towers. I also really enjoyed the Birds of New York exhibit. I never realized we have so many feathered friends flying all around us. Overall, this is a great museum for any age and a wonderful look into the history of New York State. I will definitely come back again! 5/5 a month ago What a gem. It's actually quite massive – we were there for a couple of hours and only got to see half. Maybe even less. The 9/11 exhibit is detailed and quite emotional- I couldn't even take any pictures. There are exhibits on various eras that are detailed and well documented. Even if you don't want to read so much, they are wonderfully well put together. You don't have to follow any chronology, but it's set up so that you can if you want to. Really well thought out and lets you really appreciate our state. Note: its free to visit. We did not have to reserve time slots online either. The people at the front desk are super helpful. Outside, there are some wonderful memorials as well, and the space is lovely, you can sit and reflect for a few minutes. 5/5 9 months ago I've always loved museums for the New York State prison into something to do during covid-19 you had before that so many interesting things I still haven't been the whole place the bad thing is they close down the gift shop that sucks. I really should reopen it maybe a couple of days a week they don't have to be open all the time it's going to be missed they had so many neat things in there gift ideas and knowledgeable stuff to have it oh yeah thanks for somebody that actually lied to our country so many things have gone down the tubes on freaking believable at least the museum still remains open to the public you have to wear a mask

Bit off an odd entrance, you go down an escalator just to walk through check point to go back up an elevator, but I imagine it's for crowd control.
