I had a parking ticket in a spot where there were no signs posted. I took a video of where I was parked, and a lady named Porsha pulled it up on Google maps. In her old Google pictures, there was a sign, but when the ticket was issued, there was no sign. She didn't care, and made me pay. Crook

I have tried so hard not to let these reviews get to me, and then I started experiencing it for myself, I genuinely believe the city gets kicks out of making you miserable oh, they will stop at the smallest and stupidest of things. That is both my professional and personal opinion.

Unique and fun hotel with excellent service! Front desk staff was always friendly, helpful, and kind. Our room was clean and spacious with beautiful views of the city! Lobby and bar had a cool, modern vibe. We really liked the food choices for breakfast – sweet potato fries with poached egg, French toast with fruit, quinoa and rice, potato fries with cheese and bacon – all served in a paper cup with a lid and easy to eat. We loved our stay and would definitely stay again!

We stayed in an ALOFT in Nashville; this one in Dallas was nicer in terms of room size and lobby area. Our room was large; very comfortable, nice shower and clean. Was a short walk to dining/shops in the downtown area, so a great value versus the cost of staying on Commerce. We may be getting a bit old for the ALOFT concept; which I think is best for

I was nearly scared out of staying by some of the reviews but I'm glad I wasn't. It's a beautiful hotel and really central within Dallas. The room was clean and well decorated. The blackout curtains are very effective. The closet was huge and generally the room was comfortable. Check out and check in were also really easy. My only complaint is that there seemed to be no heating in the rooms because it was rather cold. I would not recommend bringing a car because it is valet only and the valet is expensive but other than that it's a great hotel experience.

I booked a room for 4 and we checked in late the night before the Dallas Holiday Parade. We were “upgraded” to a King Suite, but later discovered that the “upgrade” was a room for 2 – no pull-out couch. There were no rollaway beds available and they were “overbooked” due to the parade. My kids, aged 15 and 12 had to sleep on the floor. Spoke to a manager the next day who said they'd make it right, but still billed for my full rate. Valet the next day was a nightmare. We waited in line for at least 20 minutes and were told it would still be longer – I took my keys from the valet and got my vehicle myself. The parking attendant wouldn't let us out of the garage without a card key (which the valet had) so we had to wait a few minutes with about 6 or 7 other angry drivers behind us until the attendant finally let us out. Then saw that I was charged for two nights parking for a one-night stay. Complete debacle – you would think a downtown hotel would anticipate a busy night before the Holiday Parade and prepare for it. It's really sad to see an iconic hotel such as the Magnolia fall to such a pathetic state. I will not stay here again.

Stayed here 2 nights (Jan 13-15, 2022). Great location in the middle of downtown, right across from the AT&T plaza that has cool photo ops and plenty of dining options. It's a dog friendly hotel, with a dog walking area in the back (at Pegasus Plaza), also one in the AT&T plaza. Check-in had a small issue where somewhere along the third-party reservation process my name got messed up (first name for last name, and vice versa) but the manager(?) realized the issue pretty quickly so that's good!! Valet guys in the front are friendly. Attached cafe is reasonably priced and so convenient and dog-friendly. Check-out was quick, just dropped off the key and they charged the card on file for valet. Great experience overall, recommending this hotel to my family. 🙂

This hotel is not only gorgeous and well maintained but the staff is so kind and wonderful. We stayed on the 19th floor for our honeymoon. When we walked in we had beautiful roses and champagne waiting for us. Every person we engaged with at the hotel was very kind and accommodating. The valet parking has a wonderful staff that works quickly to get your car. On our second day the battery in our car was dead due to a light being left on. As to not ruin our trip the staff drove and picked us up from our location so we wouldn’t have to stress about our car not working. We were able to get a new battery put in and all was well. Even though it wasn’t the hotels fault they still took the valet fees off of our bill and sent us home with a bottle of champagne and a hand written apology letter. I will definitely be coming back to this hotel again!

One of the nicest hotels we've been to in a while. Decor is exquisite. Staff was phenomenal all weekend. From bar staff to restaurants to the front desk, everyone was wonderful. We felt very appreciated as members. The room was great. Lots of places to sit, drink, and people watch. Walking distance to lots of things. We will definitely stay here again.

Amazing hotel in Downtown Dallas! So excited to come back! Booked this resort for a fantastic price at hotels.com for me and my wife. We love this hotel and I'm really happy we stayed here cheaper than what I typically pay. Stayed here this weekend to and SOMETHING to do after being cooped up. The staff here have an authentic interest In making people comfortable and happy. Food was amazing here with no rush in any of the restaurants. This is a true 5star joint and Covid safe. I’ll be back when the time deems it necessary again. Cheers!

The room was immaculate. I decreased a star because I think charging $100 for a late checkout is excessive for checking out a couple hours later and they still came by with the do not disturb sign on the door to clean while I was doing a conference call. Valet service needs work. Was only there for one night but staff at front desk was courteous and polite and hotel was beautiful and clean.

I loved everything about my stay here! From the clean and safe atmosphere to the polite staff! Checking in was a complete breeze! I loved that you can charge things to your room and pay when you leave so you don’t have to walk around with cash or your cards! Valet was quick and professional. I loved the pool just wished it was a little bigger. I didn’t get the chance to enjoy it….way too many people in it but I did get to enjoy the bar beside it! The view is beautiful. The people were friendly. I honestly enjoyed my stay. One tiny complaint I’m a photographer who loves self portraits the mirrors in my room needed a little glass cleaner. Other than that my stay was perfect! I’ll definitely stay at The J again!

This facility is in the heart of Downtown Dallas..the staff is very courteous and nice..the Bartender “Randy” is Awesome!!….the actual rooms are let's just say functional. The air did not work properly in none of the three rooms..it was cooler on the balcony than in the actual room…the rooms were sub-par updated….you could determine it was an older hotel at some point who attempted to renovate. The staff attempted to accommodate my concerns by upgrading my room only to be placed in a room with no air.

Dear Review Reader, three of us had to stay at this hotel location for two weeks in December 2021 as a corporate stay. Please do yourself a favor and look closely at the other most recent reviews[0-6mo] – you will not find a clearer picture of what to expect at this hotel. It is best that anyone considering to stay here set realistic expectations. Avoid this location until it gets proper attention from IHG corporate – a top-down overhaul of the rooms, facilities and personnel is the only way to salvage this embarrassment to the IHG brand (some staff members were very pleasant and seemed to be doing the best with what they have to work with). To the optimistic Risk Taker, if you so decide to stay here and come out on the other side feeling like you just tossed money into a lit dumpster.. fair warning was given, this one's on you booboo.

This hotel is despicable. Our 19 year old daughter made a reservation online. She was working in Dallas for the weekend. She has stayed at Crown Plaza before. She was turned away—-on a Fri.—-at midnight. Chris, at the front desk, made zero exception for a young woman traveling alone. In addition, he didn’t even offer to help her find another hotel to stay out. Absolutely unacceptable.

Super big hotel that has a Convention Center Attached to it! Now the good thing about this hotel is that it’s also attached to another hotel (Marriott)that has a underground mall that has food and some shopping to it! The staff was nice and the rooms were nice and clean! The only complaint I have about this is that it was hard to find a ice machine because labeling is very limited! Other than than very nice

We recently used The Sheraton Dallas Hotel for our wedding room block as well our wedding night room. Working with the hotel, specifically the event coordinator (Kristina) was the easiest, stress free part of the wedding planning process. They were more than accommodating and made us feel special on our special weekend! The rates were extremely competitive and everyone loved the rooms and location of the hotel. I cannot say this enough, but if you are looking for a room block, look no further than this hotel! The rooms were great and the 2 bars/restaurants in the lobby area are awesome.

The Fairmont Dallas was an excellent place to stay while in the downtown area for business. The rooms are clean, the staff is exceptional, and the pool is beautiful. A short walk to the Chase building, also easy access to sights, museums, etc, with public transit access directly across the street. The room itself was well appointed, with a classic upscale feel. The view of the downtown lights was beautiful. The bed was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean, spacious, and stocked with quality toiletries. This was an all-around pleasant place to stay for a week, and definitely characteristic of an Accor Live Limitless stay!

Absolutely pitiful experience. When we arrived no one bothered to help us with our bags. Then we go to check in and they tell us someone with an entirely different name had already checked into our room? Then after clearing that up they tried to charge us for 2 rooms. But wait there’s more.. bathtub had a big crack in it, and not even the snack table was filled. The maids/cleaning crew didn’t even bother to come to our room one time to refill our towels. Once we checked out I realized I forgot my expensive Bose wireless headphones, asked them to ship them to me and they claimed they weren’t there. Those headphones never left that room I can promise you that. Needless to say I will never be going back to Fairmont Dallas again. Save your money unless you want a terrible experience where stuff might get stolen, I have had better experiences at 1 star motels.

Beautiful rooms, great Front Desk. Location is perfect, just a short walk to downtown, American Airlines Arena and World Aquarium is just across the street. Room was pretty big, just spend the few bucks for a corner room. Comfortable bed, nice bathroom. everything was perfectly clean. Had a nice view out of every window. For me, it was the perfect place to stay in Dallas.

Avoid this hotel, even if it is a good deal. They said that their computers or system was down all day so they had trouble checking people in and got my room keys wrong. So I had to leave my 4 kids in the hall and go down to get new keys and go to a different room. It was a Thursday, get IT help. You had all day. I checked in at 8PM. There were no sheets for the pull-out couch and the shower head was broken and from not being cleaned and bursting out of the sides of the head. There was no breakfast. It was supposed to be from 7-9. We left at 8 and there was still none there. I should of read the review better. This hotel needs new management.

Room, location and staff are nice. We did the pay in advance for 2 nights and it only took out one night then the day we before they checked in it billed Me for 2 nights plus the $40 incidentals. So now for 2 night I paid for 3. When we checked in they then charged another $40 for incidentals and then a random $1.20 charge. They had to issue a refund for 1 night but it will take a week or so for it to post. Not very happy about the billing issues at all.

Hotel was clean, but dated looking. Rooms are updated. This is a standard conference hotel. Staffing was limited and unhelpful. Most things were closed. For example, all restaurants/bars were closed upon arrival. Lobby bar opened at 3 pm on a Saturday. Due to the design, the hotel was quite noisy at night due to the lobby bar in the middle and the nearby train station and highway. I would choose a different hotel next time I stay in downtown Dallas.

Walked in, there was a DJ in the ridiculously cool lobby. Got to my room, received a text asking if we needed anything in out room. The staff was helpful. The room was beautiful. I love how the history of the building was embraced in the design of the hotel. Only drawback, the walls are thin. We had to call the front desk at 1 AM for a noise complaint. They took care of it quickly.

This hotel is one of the most unique I have ever been in. It's an old restored building but it's very eclectic. Everything about it is inviting including the restaurant and even the baby grand piano which I assume is used from time to time. The rooms are ultra-modern with an eclectic style that looks like furniture that came out of homes of the Rich and famous. Their services beyond reproach and the price is not too bad either if you can afford $100 to $200 a night. I didn't take pictures because there are so many great pictures on the way of all ready for this hotel, but it's only in downtown Dallas so if you want pictures, I'll be happy to go back sometime and take some. This traveler gives this place a multi thumb up and on a scale of one to ten this place to me as an 11.

I’ve been to the W Hotel way too many times now, both to photograph my wedding couples get ready it to get ready and have their reception there (at the altitude club upstairs) and every single time the staff has been amazing, rooms are always clean and spacious. Overall, from the moment we leave our cars to the valet, to doing first looks around the hotel, to the last minute we leave for the ceremony elsewhere – the W Hotel team has been amazing hosts. From a photographer’s point of view, almost all the rooms I’ve been for getting ready photos has been spacious, well lit, had good backdrops to use for lay flat details, make up shots and such. The suites are big enough to host bigger wedding parties too – so that’s a plus. You definitely need a spacious room for your photographer/videographer to capture your start to your day from different angles. The pool patio that’s upstairs on the spa floor is great for first look and couple’s portraits. Even if the sun is up high, the neutral color space has a good reflection of even lighting. Hosting your reception at The Altitude is a great idea. If they still have it, they have a mirror tiled wall that makes a beautiful backdrop for cake photos, as well as the balcony for some night photos. The Altitude also has light colored walls/ceiling and will definitely make it way easier for your photo/video crew. Overall, I’d give this place 10/10. I always look forward to working with the W and will refer them to any of my couples that ask for a getting ready location in downtown Dallas! Thank you team W for always being amazing, positive, helpful, friendly and welcoming ♥️

This was a great hotel for my stay. The beds were so comfortable, I felt like I was in heaven. The rooms are so clean, and the large rooms have a living room, dining room, and the bathrooms are amazing. I will definitely stay at this hotel in the future. The staff members are very kind, and the restaurants are a great place to eat. The parking is a bit of a pain you valet. The garage is not free, and it can be quite expensive. Its right downtown so not many places to park except in the garage.

This was such a great place to stay! No matter what town you’re in, you can never go wrong staying at a Ritz Carlton. Everyone working here was very friendly and very helpful. I came in town with my 15 yr old daughter and her friend to go shopping, but since we were only in town for 24 hours, we didn’t have time to utilize all the amenities. We stayed in a 1BR Suite with a sleeper sofa on the club level, which also had a balcony. The room was very spacious for the 3 of us, but next time, I’ll be sure to get a room with 2 full baths because it’s impossible to share a bathroom with 2 15 year old girls🙂

I went there for the First time for My Niece's Reception and it did NOT disappoint. From the entry way, to their awesome bar stations, delicious food, their friendly staff and very nice clean restrooms. It made for a Magical Wedding Experience! I would book a future event here.

The highlight of this place is the window where Oswald fired his shots, which is behind glass panels. They have a replica rifle–which is not the original–on display. There are a few interesting artifacts laid about, like the cameras used to film the event. The rest of the museum is basically textbook paragraphs pasted onto fancy panels on the walls. Not worth $18. You'd be better off paying the same amount for the bar and views of Reunion Tower. Also, management at this place is still imposing a mask mandate, regardless if you are vaccinated or not. This made me upset, since it makes me wonder why I even got vaccinated in the first place if we can't “go back to normal” at places like this? To be fair, this is the only public spot I visited in Dallas which maintains this rule. Go spend your time and money elsewhere or visit the park below for free if you are interested about the historical aspect. There is a free audio tour, which you can access via the QR codes on the placards in the park.

Well organized for entry up to sixth floor, limited entrance which was nice so that it was not to crowded. Excellent history posted throughout. Although I had come to terms with the assassination of President Kennedy some additional points brought up in historical postings started me wondering again. I am way above average with a weapon and can't believe that the angle of the shoots fired could have been done by one man. Highly recommend when in Dallas stop by this museum.

They were sold out couldn't get into the museum but we walked around outside and talked to some of the street vendors. It was an interesting experience. I took 3 kids agreed 4, 13, and 17. My 17 year old was the only one who seemed interested. My 4 year old liked the water and steps for jumping.

Loved it. Fascinating and great exhibits. Go to the Guineas Book exhibit too. It's in the same place but a separate entrance and charge. It's worth it for kids though. Super clean, the bathrooms actually surprised me. The restaurant on the way out looks good as well. We didn't eat there but would have had we been hungry.

It's a much larger place than I expected with much more to see than it's open time. Their activities for children and interactive games and activities throughout. A good wholesome family place full of learning and fun. The minerals exhibit is quite stunning with various minerals being displayed the way they were found. With the interactive map you get to find out where these minerals were found. It's a great experience and definitely worth a full day of exploration.

Love the museum. Paid for the Guinness World Record as a bundle and it was superb. The gift shop was great. Loved the Albert Einstein plush.. The only issue I had here was a random staff member tried to Museum Block me and yelled that I couldn't go into the children's area.. Mind you my baby sister is 4 and was walking next to me… After the above average in excitement levels, staff member figured out her age.. she sarcastically let me in… The thing that bothered me was the fact that she not only bolted towards me, but she was screaming as if I had committed a felony. I don't know if she is deaf, or simply rude. Must of been my long hair that enchanted her unwanted attention. Otherwise it was a great experience as always. :):

A lot of walking to do here so make sure that you have comfortable shoes on. The way it was set up was that you can walk around in a loop from inside to outside back to outside back to inside it was really nice set up and fun to walk around the whole place. They have a large shark tank that was really cool to see. They also have an outdoor pink wind set up that was beautiful as well. They have a large restaurant indoors as well as many restaurants throughout the entire building. Some of it is outdoors so be prepared with something to protect from the sun the sun was really hot when we were here this day but overall we had an amazing time and look forward to coming back here one day when we are in the area

The aquarium is pretty great. They were able to pack a lot of exhibits into a small footprint. You start at the top and meander your way down. It's nice that the flow of traffic is all in one direction. We spent about 2 hours there. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Benches and restrooms were plentiful and convenient. We didn't try any of the restaurants while we were there. We went right at 9:00 when they opened. It was busy but not unbearably so. I would say the only downside was the cost between the entry fee and the parking cost. It would be nice if there were discounts if you had memberships to other zoos/aquariums. We only went with the 2 of us this time; I don't know if we could afford to bring all 5 of us.

It was beautiful to feel you are surrounded by exotic birds, alligators and huge snakes. The sound of birds chirping and flying overhead protected by steel mesh. It was really wonderful. I finished it in 1 hour but if you have children you may need 2 hrs. Parking is across the street from the aquarium. Cost was $5 an hour with a 2 hr minimum. You pay with cc in designated area. There are no attendants. The city warns not to pay anyone claiming they are; which I thought it was nice to know. During the week is not crowded which I loved! No restaurant was open in the aquarium and you are not allowed to bring in food. Yes there is a fee to enter!!! All in all for me was a good experience!
